In 1994, our mom left her job in finance to pursue a more balanced, intentional way of living. With two small girls in tow and "Under the Tuscan Sun" in hand she founded St. Helena Olive Oil Co out of the mudroom in our house in the Napa Valley.
We grew up like all children of entrepreneurs, fully immersed in the business. Our identities were woven from the fabric of late nights spent staging retail displays, "sick days” in the field harvesting olives, and the indescribable excitement of tasting our olio nuovo around the dinner table in the Fall.
So when our mom was forced to downscale after suffering a traumatic brain injury in 2015, and then shut operations completely after the Tubb's Fire destroyed our property two years later, we were presented with a choice - close the door on a company that quite literally raised us or leave our own careers to raise it from the ashes.
We chose rebirth, and in 2019 launched the olive oil company once again, inspired by the uncertain yet purpose-driven path our own mom forged 25 years earlier.
Our promise is to cultivate the vision that our mom created in 1994 - that real food heals - our connection to ourselves, each other and our planet. By producing authentic, high quality extra virgin olive oil and vinegar, we honor this connection.
